Mandorla art awards

In 2018, artists were provided with the challenge to visualise the text from the Book of Revelations;
’And then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband’. Rev 21:1-2
This work depicted an actual dawn rainbow at Mt Isa as well as other sites.

Craft group continues

Recently I have been doing embroidery stitching at St Luke's Church craft group.
 At home I utilise the electric fry-pan to make candles. This is necessary to maintain an even temperature and prevent flame-ups.

Fig tree inspires public art

Looks like Anema Designs have done some good work;
brightening up this traffic light box at Beatty Park.
Not to far from Stuart Street Reserve;
where my art enquiry centred around the fig tree also.
Here is a playlist of the clips I made;

Outernational Pics Sat 10 Feb

I attended this years Outernational Concert.
Here's some pics this year's event;

Test runs on the printed bags have been worthwhile. The main discovery I have made is that a washed bag loses some paint which will fleck over the rest of the wash. The resulting design effect is still desirable? Seems like I will have to prewash the bags before sales.
I have not attempted any sales yet but last year Big Boyz WA expressed some interest.
I had an early night and missed the Mexicans from Broome but the live line-up I saw was good;

*SALVATION BAND
* NGATI

Easter Forgiveness replaces Rastafarian Radio

After watching Tenchi Muyo EPs 1 where Ryoko seeks revenge for 700 years of imprisonment: I dreamed I was being attacked by a skinless crocodile. Coincidental that I also found and adopted a crocodile Teddy? There's something about accepting a substitute that forgets about the rights of the real thing. What implication does this have for art that is so much about appropriation? This episode of God forbid deals with forgiveness on this Easter Sunday. God Forbid is one of 2 shows I regularly listen to the radio at the moment. The Moth Radio Hour on Saturday nights on RN is followed by an art show. I have this year not subscribed to RTR's Jamdown Vershun which inspired my radio's sound system stylings.
